Your Fortified Chiropractor

Hi, I'm Sharon.

I’m a GCC-registered chiropractor and part of the Fortified team.

For over 15 years, I've worked with people at every stage of life to make sure physical aches and pains don't hold them back from what matters most. Whether that's a mum preparing for birth, a baby learning to roll, or someone training for their first (or fifth) marathon, my focus is always the same: helping you move forward with confidence.

I'm fully insured and registered with the General Chiropractic Council, so you're in safe, experienced hands.

What to Expect

I provide chiropractic care for musculoskeletal problems. This could be issues affecting your joints, muscles, nerves, and movement.

Every appointment is tailored to you, but typically includes a detailed initial assessment of what's going on, a clear explanation of my findings and what might be contributing to the problem, and hands-on treatment where it's appropriate. From there, we'll work on rehab and strength-based exercises, discuss any modifications to your training, and create a clear plan with agreed next steps.

Care is always adapted to your goals and your current capacity, because what works for one person won't necessarily work for another.

How it Works

Step 1 — Book Online

Choose a time that suits you. Forms and confirmations are sent automatically.

Step 2 — Initial Consultation

We'll assess what's going on, discuss your goals, and agree on a plan together. This appointment takes around 40 minutes, and you'll leave with a clear understanding of what's likely contributing to the problem, what we're going to focus on, and what you can do between sessions.

Step 3 — Follow-Up Sessions

We'll reassess your progress and adjust your care based on how you're responding. Treatment sessions take up to 20 minutes, while progress reviews take up to 40 minutes.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing you can move in - your usual gym kit is ideal.

You don't train in isolation and your care shouldn't happen in a vacuum.

For many musculoskeletal issues, building strength and endurance is a crucial part of recovery. That's why, where appropriate, I work directly with your Fortified coach to help you continue training safely while you recover.

This might mean adjusting load, range, or exercise selection. It could involve temporarily modifying certain movements (not eliminating them). Or it might be about progressing your rehab in a way that supports your performance goals. The specifics depend on you, but the principle stays the same: we're not here to stop you training unnecessarily. We're here to help you learn how to work with and through injury safely.

FAQ’s

Will I need ongoing treatment forever?

No. The aim is always to reduce your reliance on treatment by improving your movement, strength, and ability to manage things yourself.

Will you just crack my back?

Joint manipulation may be used when it's appropriate, but it's never the only tool (and it's not always necessary).

Can I still train while I'm injured?

Ideally, yes. That’s the beauty of having your training and chiropractic care under one roof. We'll work together to decide what's appropriate and safe for you right now.

Where do treatments take place?

All treatments are done at the gym in a private, cordoned-off area.

How do I book my sessions?
You can book using the calendar below. You can always find this page again by opening the Fortified app, tapping the account icon, and selecting 'Chiropractic'.

What is the cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You can do so by emailing sharon@fortifiedgym.com or sending a WhatsApp message to the gym phone.

Do I need to dress down for my treatment?
No. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing you can move in, and treatment will mostly be conducted while you're fully clothed. If an area of skin needs to be accessed, appropriate draping will be provided to maintain your privacy.

Terms of Service

1. Eligibility & Responsibility

By booking an appointment, I confirm that I am over 16 years of age (or have permission from a parent/guardian), will provide accurate and complete information about my health, symptoms, and medical history, and understand that it is my responsibility to inform the practitioner of any changes to my health or symptoms.

2. Nature of Chiropractic Care

I understand that chiropractic care involves assessment, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and exercise and rehabilitation advice. No guarantees can be made regarding outcomes, and treatment plans may change depending on how I respond to care.

3. Informed Consent

I understand that chiropractic care may involve physical contact and movement. The practitioner will explain findings, options, and recommendations, and I am free to ask questions, decline, or stop treatment at any time.

4. Training & Activity Guidance

I acknowledge that advice provided may include guidance on exercise, training modification, and loading. I remain responsible for how I apply this advice in and outside the gym, and I accept that continuing to train carries inherent risks.

5. Missed Appointments & Cancellations

I understand that appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged in full.

6. Data Protection & Communication

I consent to my personal and health information being stored securely in line with GDPR and shared within the Fortified coaching team where relevant to my care. I also consent to receiving appointment confirmations and service-related communications by email or SMS.

7. Medical Referrals

I understand that chiropractic care is not a substitute for medical care. If chiropractic care is not deemed to be safe or suitable, a referral will be made to the appropriate specialist. I will be advised to seek medical attention or referral if symptoms fall outside the scope of chiropractic practice.

8. Agreement

By booking an appointment, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

9. Clinic Environment & Privacy
I understand that appointments take place within the gym environment and that other people may be present in the building during my session. Treatment areas are in a cordoned-off area rather than a fully enclosed room. I understand that reasonable steps will be taken to maintain my privacy and dignity at all times. I can raise any concerns during my appointment and may request adjustments or the opportunity to discuss sensitive topics during periods when other clients are not present, or via a video call where reasonably possible.
